Cleantech San Diego is a member-based business association that positions the greater San Diego region as a global leader in the cleantech economy and smart cities movement. As a nonprofit organization, Cleantech San Diego is uniquely suited to support the industry by fostering collaborations across the private-public-academic landscape, leading advocacy efforts to promote cleantech priorities, and encouraging more equitable investment across the San Diego region.
City of San Diego’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) is a package of policies launched in 2015 that will benefit San Diego’s environment and economy by calling for half of all greenhouse gas emissions to be eliminated and all electricity used in the City to be from renewable sources by 2035. San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is a Community Choice Aggregation program that partners with local investor-owned utility SDG&E to deliver and service cleaner, affordable, and reliable electricity to the City of San Diego, Chula Vista, La Mesa, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, and National City.
